These sites contain invaluable resources for entrepreneurs.

Flukes or champions?
By Vince Lombardi

The difference is how you handle success.

With Champions, success is never unexpected; it's a natural result that comes from continuous, unselfish, unrelenting determination to win, never letting down, never letting outside influences into the game.

Champions know it's not having the talent to win that makes a champion; it's having too much pride to lose.  Season after season.  Year after year. Championship after championship.

One day the great philosopher Socrates came upon an acquaintance who ran up to him and excitedly said, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about one of your students?"

"Wait a moment," Socrates replied. "Before you tell me I'd like you to answer three questions about what you heard and want to tell me.

The first question is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?
"No," the man said, "actually I just heard about it."

The second question is Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my student something good about them?"
"No, on the contrary..."

The third question is what you tell me about my student going to be Useful to me?"
"No, not really..."

Socrates asked, "If what you want to tell me is neither confirmed Truth, nor Good news, nor even Useful to me, why tell it to me?"

"Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others."

From the movie "Hitch" and likely many before that!

Life is not measured by how many breaths you take, but the times that life takes your breath away.

Successful people are the anomaly, the deviation--certainly not the norm.  Take a random group of 100 people and I suspect only one (if even that many) will be living his dream.  The others will be dreaming about it, trying to live it, pretending to live it, or have already given up on it.  Success is not an easy code to crack.  If at first you don't succeed... DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.  Success coming on the first swing is rare.  The likelihood of you succeeding on your first, second, or even your third attempt is so low that to expect otherwise is almost absurd.  You got to realize that if you don't succeed on your first attempt, it really is nothing to be ashamed of.  It's to be expected.  Now, if you continually make the same mistake over and over again or if you decide to give up because you feel it's just too hard... then it's time to be ashamed.
